Kangchenjunga (8586 meters)

Kangchenjunga is another mountain in the Himalayas and is the third largest mountain peak in the world. This mountain peak has an official height of 8586 meters and is located in the border of eastern Nepal and Sikkim in India. The first people to climb this peak were Joe brown and George band in the year 1955. The main peak of Kangchenjunga is the second highest point in Nepal, after Mount Everest, and is the highest mountain in India. Kangchenjunga was considered to be the tallest mountain in the world until 1852.

The peak lies in the Kangchenjunga Himal section of the Himalayas which lies in both Nepal and India. This region encompasses 16 peaks which are above 7000 meters.
